Have questions? We can help.
We know that teleconsultations can be new to many people. That's why we've compiled the most common questions here, explained in simple terms, so you know exactly how our service works.
What is a medical teleconsultation?
It’s an online consultation with a doctor via Google Meet. You can clarify symptoms, receive guidance, receive prescriptions, medical certificates, and test requests, all from the comfort of your home.
Is a teleconsultation the same as an in-person consultation?
Yes, the consultation has the same legal validity and is performed by licensed physicians. The only difference is that it takes place remotely. If the physician determines that in-person observation is necessary, a referral will be made.
What health problems can I resolve through teleconsultation?
Many symptoms can be assessed remotely, such as fever, sore throat, cough, diarrhea, vomiting, colds, minor infections, clinical questions, prescription refills, and monitoring of chronic diseases.
How does the digital prescription work?
After the consultation, if the doctor deems it necessary, the prescription is issued electronically and can be used at any pharmacy in Portugal.
How much does a teleconsultation cost?
Prices vary by specialty. Consultations start at €49.90. In the case of General and Family Medicine, follow-up consultations cost €39.90.
How do I make the payment?
Payment is made online, at the time of booking, via MB Way, Multibanco or bank card.
Is it safe and confidential?
Yes. We follow the GDPR and all medical confidentiality rules. Consultations are not recorded, and your data is treated with complete security.
